The Cashmere record printed a nice article about the effort we are making to create the Valley Trail. Only real error was the statement of us unveiling a preferred plan at the Leavenworth Regional Trails Plan public meeting tonight. Hopefully that won't cause any problems.
This does however provide an opportunity to generate more support for the project and as the article accurately states we are "rallying people around the idea of a trail" at this point.
I challenge all of you who are involved at this point to write a letter to the editor supporting this project and encouraging others in the community to do the same. I'm not expecting many, if any negative responses to the article. But what a great thing to follow this up next week with a full page of support from the community in the letters to the editor.
That's what I need you to do this week!
Here is the link to the article

Our Trail Goals
- To create this trail through the partnership and voluntary action of willing landowners
- To improve and preserve our sense of community and quality of life
- To highlight our agricultural heritage and culture
- To provide a healthy and safe recreational opportunity to all members of the community

Congrats on getting the article in the newspaper. It really is very favorable.

Patrick, this is excellent. We now have more friends in the FOOT family. I think the timing of this is interesting, as our current financial climate and forecast indicates, people might be spending more time around the home and our local community, and this trail starts looking better and better. We need to keep up the momentum.
